Rumors are spreading that the musical may be returning to Broadway sometime in 2022
When you say Beetlejuice three times, the spirit rises from the dead. But is it the same for the Broadway musical? It might be! Ever since the show closed in March of 2020, fans have been taking to the internet to rally behind BEETLEJUICE. A cult favorite movie and now a fan favorite show, the musical closed abruptly due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, a number of rumors have come to light recently pointing towards a return to Broadway for BEETLEJUICE sometime next Spring.
Will BEETLEJUICE rise from the dead?
According to the podcast, "What's Up Broadway?", there are rumors that the show will run at the Marquis theatre in 2022. Additionally, there has been talk that the show will not only be brought back to life onstage, but also be filmed for HBO Max, according to an interview with Leslie Kritzer on the podcast "Guys Who Like Musicals".
