It was announced on March 16th that the Public Theater's Shakespeare In The Park will return to the Delacorte this summer! A production of MERRY WIVES, an adaptation of Shakespeare's MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR, by Jocelyn Bioh.
The return of Shakespeare In the Park could be a good sign for Broadway theatres and other performance venues
Thousands of New Yorkers flock to Central Park each summer to see Shakespeare In The Park and it looks like this summer will be a return to some sense of normalcy. The Public has been quoted in saying, "In partnership with City officials, health and safety experts, and with our theatrical unions, the performance schedule, safety protocols, and free ticket distribution details will be forthcoming over the next several weeks."
