Springsteen On Broadway will open in June, Mockingbird in October
With the number of vaccinated people rising daily, more and more great news is coming from the theatre world! Announced last week, SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY, the one-man show with The Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen, is coming back to Broadway. The show will play the St. James Theatre, opening on June 26th and playing through to September 4th. SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY will officially be the first show to require that all audience members have proof of vaccination. Protocol like this is expected to become more regular as more Broadway shows reopen this fall.
The Boss and Scout are coming back!
In more theatre news, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, the hit Broadway adaptation of the famous book, announced that they will reopen on Broadway on October 5th. The show will reopen with Jeff Daniels as Atticus Finch and Celia-Keenan Bolger as Scout, who both originated the roles but initially left the show in 2019. Their return to the show production isn't the only change. MOCKINGBIRD was originally produced by Scott Rudin, who amidst rumors of abuse, has stepped away from all current projects.
